Absolutely! All of the library's electronic content -- databases, ebooks, streaming video -- is available to you whether you're on campus or off campus.
When you are on campus, access is seamless -- just click on the link and you will be connected directly to the content. When you are off campus, however, you will need to take one more step to show that you are a current VWU student, faculty, or staff member.
Off campus users will see a log in page (see image, below) when they click on a link to a database, ebook, article, video, or other online content. On that page, enter your current VWU network username and password. This is either your seven digit student ID number, or it is the first part of your VWU email address (without the @vwu.edu part).
If you enter your current VWU network username and password and still don't connect to the content you are looking for, you may need to reset your password. Only VWU IT Help Desk staff can help you with this. IT Help Desk staff are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and you can contact them by phone at 757.524.5900 or by email at email@example.com. (Remember -- never include your username or password in an email!)
